Counselling is a form of support for people who feel confused or overwhelmed. The confusion can come from an important decision you need to make or it can come from something that happened to you.

When you are confronted with a loss of a dear person and you are in grief, you can feel overwhelmed by all your emotions.

And also when you are confronted with a traumatic situation, it can be very hard to handle.

In such situations you do not need psychotherapy, but you need someone who is willing to be present with you and who is willing to listen and help you to process your emotions and confusion.

It is possible that during the process of counselling it becomes clear that you have some fixed patterns in dealing with yourself and your emotions. In such case we can switch to psychotherapy.
